Happy New Year

With the New Year approaching, we here at Sorensen Allied Moving and Storage, ask that you have a safe and joyful time with your family, friends and loved ones.

At this time of year, many people are shopping and traveling and the roads do become quite congested.  Please remember to be safe and watch out for your fellow drivers, motorcyclists, walkers and bicyclists.

And even though we all know drinking and driving can cause tragic life altering effects, not everyone thinks ahead.  Please be safe this New Year.  Don’t drink and drive.  If you do drink and can’t get home, call 1-800-AAA-HELP, in order to get yourself and your car home safely.

Among many other programs throughout Florida, Tow to Go is a program created by AAA and Budweiser.  By calling 1-800-AAA-HELP, you and your car will be picked up by a tow truck.  This is a free service and keeps impaired motorists off the road.  To learn more, please visit http://www.flhsmv.gov/fhp/misc/christmas/ttg.htm

At the end of 2011, we look back on the customers that we have serviced through out the year.  We appreciate each and every customer and know that it’s the opportunity that they give us to service their moving needs that makes us the company we are today.

We are looking forward to a successful 2012 and wish the same to all of our previous, current, and future customers.  Again, without you, we can not succeed.

Please don’t hesitate to visit our website in order to learn more about the services we can provide to you or your company, as we service local, out of state, corporate, and commercial moves.

You can also reach us toll free at 1-800-926-2770 with any questions regarding our moving services.

Florida Today Reaching Out Holiday Fundraiser

At the start of each holiday season, Florida Today begins their Reaching out Holiday Fundraiser.  This fundraiser allows residents of Brevard County to donate monetary contributions in order to allow families in need to provide a special Christmas to their children.
Florida Today gathers donations, the money is sent directly to toy manufacturers and in turn the manufacturers ship toys and books directly to Florida Today.
Each year, Sorensen Allied works hand in hand with Florida Today in order to sort and distribute the toys to four separate locations within Brevard county.
Beginning Wednesday, December 14th, the distribution process will begin.  It starts with Sorensen drivers picking up the toys from Florida Today and bringing them directly to the Sorensen warehouse.  From here, employees of Sorensen Allied Moving and Storage and Florida Today will begin sorting the toys for each distribution center.
On Saturday, December 17th, the toys will be shipped to each distribution center by Sorensen Allied drivers.
The distribution centers will then distribute the toys to each family who has signed up for the program.
Sorensen Allied Moving and Storage has been a part of this program for many years and will continue for many years to come.

AAR Airlift Group Marks Milestone Challenge, Great Accomplishment for Sorensen-Allied

August 2, 2011, Melbourne, FL – Sorensen Moving and Storage was awarded the contract of relocating AAR Airlift Group, AAR Airlift Group, a provider of airlift and specialized aircraft modifications for government and defense customers.
Sorensen Moving and Storage executed the services outlined in the contract over a 3-month period working closely with key AAR management personnel.  AAR’s entire operation, which included their hangars, facilities and offices, was moved from Moyock, NC to Melbourne, Florida.
In addition to these vital areas of AAR Airlifts’ operations, Sorensen Moving & Storage also moved 14 of their MD530 and Bell helicopters along with various other airplane parts crucial to their company.  The move consisted of eight phases and sixty tractor trailer loads.
“We’re extremely pleased that we were selected to move AAR to our community,” says Scott Sorensen, President and CEO of Sorensen Moving and Storage. “A move of this scope is continuing testament to our superior range, depth and quality of services.” www.sorensen-allied.com
