Sorensen Sales Team: New Addition

In order to prepare for a successful and prosperous 2012, we’ve added a new employee to the Sorensen Team.  We’d like to introduce and welcome Kyle Selby to our sales department.  Kyle brings a new and interesting aspect to our company and we look forward to growing our sales team with his individual skills.
Kyle Selby joined our team in September of 2011.  He comes to our organization with a background in real estate and is a recent grad from the University of Florida, majoring in Economics.  Kyle is involved with the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Florida and is a sports enthusiast, with a particular interest in golf.
Although new to the moving industry, he has picked up quite nicely on his duties here at Sorensen.  In fact, given the short time he’s been here at Sorensen, he was awarded Best Attitude 2011 at the Annual Christmas Party.
We are very happy with what Kyle has offered to our company thus far.  We look forward to 2012 and know that he will be a huge asset to our sales department as well as the entire Sorensen team.

Space Coast Early Intervention, Project: Make a Difference

This past weekend, many volunteers within the space coast took time out of their weekend in order to complete a mulching project for the playgrounds located at the Space Coast Early Intervention Center.

The Space Coast Early Intervention Center is a preschool designed for children with and without learning disabilities.  The preschool focuses on providing children of all abilities the tools necessary to succeed in life.  To learn more about this amazing facility, please visit their website.  http://www.sceic.com/

The changes made to the playground included removing wood mulch chips and replacing them with ASTM approved recycled mulch. The replacement of the wood mulch is safer for the children and will also save approximately $20,000 per year for the not for profit learning center.

Even though your child may not be a student at Space Coast Early Intervention Center, the newly renovated playground is open to the public.  You and your child can visit the playground on weekends from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.  In addition the playground is also available for party rentals.  To find out more information about booking a party for your child, please visit the following link. http://www.sceic.com/plan-a-party-on-our-playground/

The project was headed by LEAD Brevard and the following companies each played a part in the renovation of the playground.  LUKE, AMI Kids, NASA, 98.5 The Beach, Danella Rental Systems, Wells Fargo and our very own Sorensen Allied Moving and Storage and Sorensen Office Solutions.

The project took two days of physical work.  However it took much longer for LEAD Brevard to plan, raise funds and gather volunteers to make this a successful renovation.

We here at Sorensen Allied Moving and Storage are very proud to have been a part of this playground renovation.
